St John’s Books is a Christian bookshop in the heart of Fremantle’s CDB, located near the Town Hall, directly opposite King’s Square and St John’s Church, and next door to Church Office at 26 Queen Street.

Here you will find the best collection of spirituality and serious theology books in Western Australia, if not the whole of the country.

A wonderful array of children’s Bibles and books complement the adult works on the shelves.

Unlike some religious bookshops, St John’s is never narrow in its vision and its stock.

While we mainly carry Christian publications, we are also committed to helping different religious families understand one another and live peaceably together in today’s world.

This means that you will also find here popular, scholarly, and responsible books on Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and the other great world religions.

Specialist bookshops like St John’s struggle to survive in a digital world, where anyone can order books online with ease.

Where our knowledgeable staff offer an essential service is in helping track down the book you want, as well as recommending others you might enjoy.

We are happy to advise you by phone or fax or email, and take orders in this way, but we would also love to see you in person, so please do come and browse regularly or occasionally.

Apart from the welcoming atmosphere and expert help readily available at St John’s Books, even the best informed book enthusiast misses new titles and publications because so few books are now reviewed in newspapers and magazines.

The pleasures of browsing are simply not available online, and cannot be taken away from us!

St John’s Books also stocks a range of greeting cards for special occasions like baptism, confirmation, marriage, ordination, along with a selection of attractive gifts – crosses, rosaries, icons, and the other religious items.
